Iitu's Fredrick Senior Portrait Session
I knew Iitu would be the perfect client. When we talked about where and how we would shoot her session she said “I love having my picture taken and getting dressed up!”. She was certainly not camera shy at all and was amazing to work with.
When we met we talked through ideas on what outfits to shoot, how we could best bring out her personality with each set and what to shoot that was really representative of her time as a senior. We could have used two more days to shoot everything we were thinking of.
We don’t do stale, boring portrait sessions. We like to meet with our clients and talk through what their style is like, what kind of music they like, what do they binge watch on Netflix. We talk through what outfits are going to show off your personality and show what kind of fashion forward person you are. We shoot to get a variety from casual, going out to formal.
Iitu had plenty of outfit ideas for her session from her Lacrosse uniform to her formal prom dress we had her dance in the street with.
We started off at her highschool in front of a mural she helped to create and paint. We always want to incorporate props or places that are personal to you that will help bring back the memories years down the road when you’re looking back at these.
We caravanned up the road to downtown Fredrick. One of my favorite spots is by the old city hall. There are so many gorgeous spots all within that block. No traveling all over the county. We can get red bricks, pastel colored doors, iron and fountains all within a short walk.
Red doors are our favorite. To find one that matched the red stripes in her jumper was awesome!
